CBI Dismantles UK Tech Support Scam

 


India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) shut down a £390,000 tech support scam targeting UK and Australian citizens. Operating from Noida call centre, the syndicate impersonated, Microsoft staff to extort money from victims. The crackdown-part of Operation Chakra V—was coordinated with the UK's NCA, FBI and Microsoft, leading to two arrests and the seizure of advanced scam infrastructure.
